JOSEPH SAND | Summer 2023
Firing number 39! Somehow we lucked out with beautiful firing weather AND beautiful kiln opening weather. The summer production cycle and firing can sometimes (most of time) be brutally hot here in NC. The workshop was buzzing with energy the past few months, with apprentices and helpers. It's great to be surrounded by people who are passionate about clay and have the desire to continually learn.
This firing was beautiful, with a bounty of mugs, plates, and bowls. The large bowls are fantastic with an incredible glaze quality on the interior. Looking forward to sharing those and all the other loves pieces with you this weekend.
